Dr. Tanya Hollier – Clinical Psychologist
Tanya holds a Doctoral degree in Clinical and Health Psychology and has experience working with a variety of mental and physical health disorders including first episode psychosis, schizophrenia, chronic respiratory illnesses and psychosocial treatments for cancer patients. Tanya has a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma and those who work as first responders including police, ambulance and fire brigade. She is also experienced in providing psychosocial interventions for people struggling with their general health and can provide support for people with obesity, diabetes and other metabolic conditions. Tanya is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Associate Member of the Eye Movement and Desensitisation and Reprocessing Association of Australia (EMDRAA).
Dr Melissa Claire – Psychologist
Dr Melissa Claire joined us one day a week in July 2019, she has been practicing as a Psychologist since 2000. Her areas of interest are Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Domestic Violence, Forensic psychology, Addiction, Suicide and self harm, grief and loss and Personality Disorders. Treatment approaches include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Schema Therapy.

Come and join our fast growing team at Psychology Matters Newcastle. We are looking for a registered clinical psychologist to join the team. If you like a challenge and like to work with adults who present with a wide range of mental health presentations this is the place for you!
All we ask is that you have:
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with adults
- Are currently registered with AHPRA and Medicare
- Have a current police and working with childrens check
- Have some training with CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR or other therapy modalities
- Work from a trauma focused framework
- Demonstrate some flexibility in your availability
